Staff, customers of Dartmouth bookstore hope to save doors from closing

In News
November 26, 2025
An old building housing a bookstore labelled "John W. Doull Book Seller: Canada's Largest Second-Hand Bookshop," with the website address: Doullbooks.com. There is an entrance door through which three people are entering. Five pictures featuring books are displayed, and on the one next to the entrance door, the word "Books" is written, with books stacked vertically and horizontally. In front of and beside the store, there is a parking area marked "Bookstore Parking Only," and all the parking spots are filled with cars.

While public response has been encouraging, store management has yet to announce whether they will reconsider the closure. That decision is expected in the coming days.
