Haligonians will soon be able to fly directly to another European destination as Air Canada announces non-stop service to Brussels, Belgium.
The airline says the route, connecting Halifax Stanfield and Brussels Airport, will launch on June 18, 2026.
The seasonal service will run three times a week using a “narrowbody” aircraft, according to Air Canada.
“This exciting new route is a significant milestone for Halifax Stanfield and for our region,” said Joyce Carter, President & CEO, HIAA. “Air Canada’s continued investment in our market strengthens Halifax’s position as an international gateway and creates new possibilities for business, tourism, and exploring the world.”
The route is Air Canada’s second international destination from Halifax, the other being a daily direct service to London Heathrow.
Haligonians also have several overseas options through West Jet, which offers direct seasonal flights to Amsterdam, Dublin, Edinburgh, London, and the recently added Madrid and Lisbon.
