Halifax Regional Police have charged four people with weapons-related offences after an incident in Dartmouth on Monday.
According to police, officers responded around 2:30 p.m. to a report about an impaired driver in a parking lot on Mic Mac Boulevard.
Responding officers found evidence of cannabis use in the vehicle and during the further search, located a firearm and ammunition.
All four occupants were taken into custody by police.
During the arrest, a second firearm was found on the body of one person.
The four suspects, which range in age from 18 to 27, were scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday to face multiple firearms-related charges.
The 27-year-old suspect is also facing several charges for failing to comply with conditions of a release order.
