Wednesday’s storm caused several power outages across Nova Scotia.
The Nova Scotia Power outage map showed just over 19,000 customers without power provincewide as of 6:15 a.m.
Within the municipality, a large outage stretching from Portland Estates to Eastern Passage is affecting about 4,800 customers.
The utility says the outage is the result of this morning’s high winds and that the estimated restoration time is 1:45 p.m.
A second large outage is affecting an area from Albro Lake to Ochterloney Street in Dartmouth, impacting about 1,400 customers. Nova Scotia Power expects to restore service there by 2 p.m.
